Infinity Women's Wellness Retreat Center is a sacred, nurturing space where one  can access ancestral healing wisdom, restore their mind-body-spirit balance, and unlock their inner healing powers.

The Pilars of Infinity

At Infinity Women’s Wellness Retreat Center, we honor ancestral and holistic healing traditions to nurture women from all backgrounds physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our programs are rooted in local traditions and the natural environment, offering a uniquely authentic experience. We offer a range of services including yoga, meditation, energy healing, creative arts, and indigenous healing rituals in an eco-conscious, community-oriented setting.

Ancestral Wisdom – honoring ancient healing modalities (indigenous ceremonies, medicinal plants, energy work) passed down through generations from Maria’s maternal side of the family. The center collaborates with local and international shamans, healers and elders to preserve and share practices like the temazcal (sweat lodge) and herbal medicine teas.

Holistic Wellness – integrating mind, body, and spirit through yoga, meditation, sound therapy, art, and nature immersion. Every program is strategically designed to treat the “whole person,” on a case-by-case basis, recognizing that true wellness encompasses emotional and spiritual well-being as much as physical health.

Women’s Empowerment – creating a safe, supportive environment for women to share their stories, build sisterhood, and reclaim their power. By healing individual women, the center aims to ripple out positive change, as healthier women lead healthier families and communities.

Inclusivity and Accessibility – committing to serve women of diverse backgrounds and income levels. The hybrid pricing model and scholarship fund ensure low-income women and trauma survivors can attend retreats at little or no cost, alongside paying clients. Healing and personal growth should not be luxuries only for the affluent.

Community and Sustainability – Operating in harmony with the local community and environment. Infinity strives to be a good neighbor in Cabo Corrientes, providing local employment, collaborating with nearby villages, respecting cultural heritage, and minimizing environmental impact through sustainable practices.

A Journey of Healing, Legacy, and Limitless Love in Puerto Vallarta and Beyond Some souls walk this Earth to remind others what healing looks like when rooted in truth, resilience, and love. One of those souls is Maria Félix, known to many as Angel and to those in ceremony as Nana Cuauhtli, (Grandmother Eagle in Nahuatl). Her path hasn’t been easy. Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and raised in the heart of Los Angeles near the Mar Vista Gardens Housing Projects, Maria Félix’s early years were shaped by survival, navigating childhood trauma, bullying, gang life, and becoming a teen mother. Yet, from pain, she has carved purpose. From loss, she’s grown light. And from silence, she’s emerged as a voice for others. The calling within her runs deep, passed down from her great-grandmother Maria Colis, a shamaness from Zacatecas who first recognized Maria Félix’s alchemical gifts when she was 10 years old. The Spirit of the Grandmother Eagle Three years ago, after a powerful temazcal ceremony in the presence of seven shamans from around the world, Maria Félix was given the sacred name Nana Cuauhtli, meaning “Grandmother Eagle” in Nahuatl—a name that carries generations of promise, medicine, and leadership. Along with her name, Maria Félix received a traditional ceremonial medicine box, a deer skin drum, an eagle feather, an eagle claw, and an owl wing (symbolizing wisdom). Her most treasured gift from that gathering was the blessings and backing of the elders who meet in San Pedro, California, every year to share medicine, wisdom, music, dance, tradition, and to ensure that our ancestral wisdom lives on in the future generations of shamans, light and energy workers and spiritual practitioners. As a shamaness, guide, and founder of Infinity, Maria Félix leads with an open heart and a vision of healing women and girls from trauma, utilizing ancestral medicine and incorporating diverse modalities tailored to individual or group needs. She has become a vessel through which ancestral wisdom breathes again. In her words: “I am not a healer, I am the conduit that channels the medicine that people receive from their ancestors, spirit guides, and guardian angels. I do not heal people; I teach them how to heal themselves through ancestral medicine and spiritual practices.” Infinity Women’s Wellness Retreat Center is nestled in the jungle of Cabo Corrientes, just two hours south of Puerto Vallarta. This sacred sanctuary, a dream born from sorrow and shaped by spirit, was created in honor of Kimberly Maddox, Maria Felix's beloved wife of 17 years, who died of cancer on September 12, 2016, and whose parting words sparked the vision: “You’re going to have to find something that will heal and fill the emptiness you will feel when I am gone.” Three years later, Félix broke ground on the land that would become Infinity. Some of Kimberly’s ashes were lovingly mixed into the cement, forever sealed within the walls and foundation of the main house, which is named Kasa Kimberly. Her spiritual presence greets every sunrise and sunset, elevates every prayer, every wish, and every dream into the etheric realm. Every gathering of women at Infinity is a blessed gathering. After 31 years of service in nonprofit and government roles in Long Beach and Sacramento, Maria Félix relocated to Cabo Corrientes, where she devoted herself to her spiritual and ancestral practices, creating a space where women can learn to heal themselves, their families, and their communities. At Infinity, women of all walks of life and ages are welcomed and are invited to remember that healing is not only possible, but also infinite. Maria Félix believes that women who have had the most trauma can transmute that and become the greatest healers, that every wound holds wisdom, and that adversity builds character and shapes us into the resilient humans we are meant to be on this Earth, and that adversity should not make us bitter, it should make us better. She is ready, willing, and able to guide and assist women and girls in healing trauma and discovering their inner warrior. Leaning on her 31 years of nonprofit experience, Maria Félix is in the process of establishing GEMAS Guerreras Espirituales de Medicina Ancestral y Sanacion (Spiritual Warriors of Ancestral Medicine and Healing), a nonprofit whose mission is “To help women and girls heal and awaken in them the alchemist through ancestral and spiritual practices.” Maria Félix also has a space located in Puerto Vallarta, where she provides healing modalities to individuals, couples, and mother-daughter pairs. She invites her guests to step into a sacred space, allowing them to remember who they were before the world told them otherwise.

Maria Félix,  Nana Cuauhtli, (Grandmother Eagle in Nahuatl).

Traditional Cacao Ceremonies

A sacred cacao ceremony is a spiritual ritual, rooted in ancient Mayan and Aztec traditions, that involves drinking specially prepared, pure cacao to foster heart-opening, emotional healing, creativity, and spiritual connection, often guided by meditation, music, and intention setting in a communal or solitary setting. It uses unprocessed, ceremonial-grade cacao as a gentle yet powerful catalyst for introspection, allowing participants to release blocks, find inner wisdom, and celebrate life. Key elements of a ceremony: The Cacao: Raw, ceremonial-grade cacao (not chocolate) is prepared as a warm, bitter drink, rich in its natural oils, which are believed to enhance its heart-opening effects. Intention Setting: Participants set personal intentions, focusing on gratitude, love, healing, or new beginnings. Sacred Space: A calm, comfortable environment is created with candles, music, or nature elements. Guided Practices: Facilitators often guide meditations, breathwork, chanting, or reflective exercises, but it can also be a personal practice. Connection: It's a way to connect deeply with oneself, nature, and others, promoting unity and inner peace. Purpose and benefits: Emotional Release: Helps to release emotional blockages and trauma. Spiritual Awakening: Facilitates deeper self-awareness and connection to inner wisdom. Creativity & Joy: Can boost energy, creativity, and a sense of gratitude. Heart Opening: Considered a "heart medicine" that promotes love and compassion

Nature Immersion and Eco-Tours

To reconnect women with Mother Earth, Infinity offers guided tours to pristine, untouched beaches and waterfalls in the Cabo Corrientes area that are typically inaccessible to mass tourism. These low-impact eco-tours might involve hiking through the jungle to a secluded cove for a private beach meditation or participating in sea turtle conservation activities. Nature is treated as a healer in its own right, providing peace, beauty, and grounding energy.

Personal Growth and Healing Circles

Each retreat includes facilitated group circles where women can share their stories, engage in journaling or therapeutic release-trauma dialogue, and support one another. Themes may focus on topics like overcoming traumatic triggers, self-love, grief healing, or setting life intentions. These circles cultivate sisterhood and mutual learning among attendees.

Traditional Temazcal Ceremonies

Once construction is complete, the center will feature a temazcal (a Mexican traditional sweat lodge) where participants undergo a guided ritual of sweating, herbal steam, and meditation inside an earthen dome. A local curandera/shaman (healer) will lead these ceremonies for purification, stress release, and spiritual rebirth, continuing a Mesoamerican healing practice on-site.

Special Events and Retreats

In addition to its own in-house retreats (ranging from 3-day weekend immersions to 10-day intensive programs), Infinity plans to host specialty retreats led by guest facilitators. For example, a visiting shaman might conduct an ancestral healing weekend, or a yoga instructor from abroad might run a one-week goddess empowerment retreat. The center’s flexibility to accommodate external retreat coordinators and shamans (as a rental venue) will broaden the variety of experiences offered throughout the year.
